Happy New Year!!  Can you believe that it is already 2009?!!  It seems that only a few weeks ago we were gearing up for the start of school.

This year will usher in a historical first for our country.  On January 20^th, Barak Obama will become the first African-American to hold the office of President of the United States.  He will face many difficult problems when he takes the oath of office.

This country is reeling under economic pressures unlike any seen before.  We need to make it a priority to lift up our leaders and our country in prayer on a daily basis.

Marion Academy has enjoyed many firsts this school year.  We became a member of A.C.E.A.  The junior varsity girl’s volleyball team made the state playoff.  Amy Boyle was selected first team all-state in varsity volleyball.  Ben Lee, playing for the Panthers, was selected first team all-conference player at large in the Christian Football League.  Recently, Sean Davis placed first in Chemistry in statewide A.C.E.A. academic competition.

However, we too have felt the effects of a tight economy.  We are constantly having to tighten our belts so that we may continue to provide our children with a quality education.  We ask for your continued prayers, your support, and whenever possible your financial support.

We are attaching calendars for January thru March for your convenience.  Please take special notice that Spring Break has changed from March 23-27 as originally reported in the Blue Marion Academy Panthers Calendar to March 16-20.
